André kertesz (1894-1985) is a hungarian photographer who lived in Paris in the 20's and later was naturalized citizen of the US. He developed friendship with Brassaï, helped him to begin in photography : they were both closed to the surrealism movement. He also was one of the first to use a Leica as a professional instrument.
